The route
Two of the most remote parks in Africa, reached only by light aircraft: the floodplains of Katavi and the forested Mahale Mountains on the shore of Lake Tanganyika.
Flights run on set days, so the itinerary follows the charter schedule. Five nights at Mahale allows several chimpanzee treks, whatever the weather.

A night in Arusha before the long flight west. Your guide checks your kit for the charter’s luggage limit and walks you through two of the most remote parks in Africa.
