The route
Southern Tanzania is flown, not driven: light aircraft link Dar es Salaam, Nyerere and Ruaha, so there are no long road days at all.
Four nights in each park leaves room for boat safaris on the Rufiji, walks with an armed ranger and full days on Ruaha’s sand rivers.
Day by day
Met on arrival in Dar es Salaam and flown straight to the Rufiji. Within an hour of landing you are on the water, drifting past hippo pods and crocodile banks as the light goes gold.
